Explore in five relaxing daily stages the Swedish West Coast by bike. Besides a varied landscape there is lots to discover along the bike tours. Explore diversified Swedish nature reserves and learn more about Northern animals and water. Your rest day on day 4 can be used to rest, but of course there is the possibility for additional activities such as Stand Up Paddeling or a day in the water park. Further, Varberg is welcoming you with real, Swedish sheeps or the Bocksten Man, a medieval man's body from the 19th century. Last, but not least Gothenburg is awaiting you - on land and on water, after all a trip to the archipelago must be included to end this trip perfectly.
Day 1: Arrival to Helsingborg
Your hotel is located in the centre, not far away from the train station. In the evening a welcome briefing and bike fitting (if booked) takes place.
Day 2: Helsingborg - Ängelholm ca. 35 km
Your first tour starts with a transfer from your hotel in Helsingborg to Kullaberg nature reserve. There is a lot to discover! Explore one of the 20 caves or explore the area by foot to meet the animals of the forest. In the interactive visitor centre you can learn more about the nature reserve, additionally a visit of the aquarium is worth it. Enjoy some grilled sausages (you are allowed to grill your own sausages in the reserve) before you start your cycling tour along the Kulla peninsula to Ängelholm.
Day 3: Ängelholm - Halmstad ca. 45 km
By train you reach tennis metropolis Båstad after breakfast. Afterwards you cycle along one of the longest sandy beaches in Sweden (don't forget your swimming suits!) and through the nature reserves of Tönnrersa and Gullbranna before you reach Halmstad, today's destination.
Day 4: Rest day in Halmstad
Halmstad is awaiting you with a lot of fun activities. Spend the day on the beach of Tylösand, one of the most popular beaches in Sweden. Those who love ice-cream might want to visit Ricardo, where you get delicious, Italian ice-cream and other delicacies. Additionally you can go on a Stand Up Paddeling tour or visit the water park in Halmstad (not included).
Day 5: Halmstad - Varberg ca. 40 km
You continue by train to Varberg. In the afternoon you visit Öströö sheep farm to pet real, Swedish sheeps. There is also the possibility to try your luck in fishing or to do a little walking tour, boats can be rented too. Alternatively the fortress of Varberg and its Bockstens man, the "Ötzi of Sweden" can be visited.
Day 6: Varberg - Islands Styrsö & Donsö - Gothenburg ca. 20 km
After breakfast you go by train to Gothenburg (ca. 30 minutes). And as you are in Sweden, an excursion to the archipelago is a must. In ca. 50 minutes you go by boat to the southern archipelago of the city (ca. SEK 70 per person and ride, not included). Explore the car free islands of Styrsö and Donsö by bike and take a bath in the refreshing sea. In the evening you return by bike to Gothenburg.
Day 7: Individual departure
After breakfast your family trip along Sweden's wonderful West Coast ends. We are happy to extend your stay with extra nights in Gothenburg.
